Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical installations, maintenance, and repair work across various sites. You will ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standards, comply with current regulations, and adhere to health and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 wiring regulations.
- Carry out maintenance, fault finding, and repair work.
- Test and inspect electrical systems, producing relevant certification and reports.
- Work on a variety of projects including residential, commercial, and light industrial.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety guidelines, and statutory regulations.
- Liaise with clients and contractors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Accurately complete job sheets, reports, and timesheets.
Essential Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS7671).
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Test & Inspection) preferred.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- ECS Gold Card.
- Experience with renewable energy systems (e.g., EV chargers, solar).
- PASMA/IPAF qualifications.
