Remanufacturing Electrical Technician

Are you an experienced Electronics Technician with strong PCB rework and component-level fault-finding skills? Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading name in automotive and defence engineering for a highly skilled, hands-on Remanufacturing Electrical Technician.

This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, precision in their work, and a passion for electronics and engineering problem-solving.

 

 

The Role:

You'll be responsible for the assessment, repair, and testing of a wide range of automotive electrical and electronic components, working to both OEM and MoD standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate returned electrical/electronic components
  • Perform PCB rework, component-level fault-finding, and repairs
  • Dismantle, repair, and rebuild units to high standards
  • Ensure accurate documentation (job cards, BOMs)
  • Test components to original equipment specifications
  • Report faults and non-conformances to the Workshop Supervisor
  • Follow H&S and QHSE procedures at all times
  • Support other workshop activities as needed

 

What We're Looking For:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience inelectronic fault-finding at component level
  • Proficient in PCB rework (soldering, reflow, repair techniques)
  • Ability to read schematics and circuit diagrams
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Familiarity with QHSE standards and workshop best practice
  • Comfortable using MS Office (especially Excel, or willing to learn)

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Organised, proactive, and eager to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience in automotive, defence, or related sectors
