Reed Accountancy are delighted to be supporting our Coventry based client with the recruitment of a Finance Manager.

This position would suit candidates who are finance professionals with a keen eye for compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the financial and regulatory operations of a respected UK business. This position will be reporting directly into the Finance Director.

Financial Management

Act as a business partner across the organisation, delivering timely and accurate financial insights.

Lead month-end processes including journals, ledgers, adjustments, and reconciliations.

Produce monthly management accounts including P&L, cashflow, and balance sheet reports.

Support budgeting and reforecasting cycles with budget holders.

Oversee day-to-day financial operations including payroll, VAT, gift aid, and charitable income.

Liaise with external partners such as auditors, banks, and insurers.

Manage stakeholder relationships for invoicing, payments, and queries.

Risk Management & Compliance

Maintain the organisation’s risk register.

Support internal assurance, audit, and compliance testing.

Ensure compliance with supplier contracts and service delivery agreements.

Assist with regulatory compliance including data protection, health & safety, and fundraising standards.

Play an active role in the Health & Safety working group.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, and a solid background in finance and compliance. Part qualified or qualified by experience.

Essential Experience

Financial management including accounts, reporting, and compliance.

Budgeting and forecasting with budget holders.

Risk management and governance in a charity or public sector setting.

Statutory reporting (VAT, PAYE, pensions, etc.).

Skills & Knowledge

Strong IT skills, ideally with MS Dynamics 365 or similar.

Excellent communication and financial analysis skills.

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

Part-qualified or qualified by experience in charity finance.
