Robertson Bell is pleased to be supporting a well-established not-for-profit organisation in the recruitment of a Finance Manager (four-days) on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role with wide-ranging responsibilities across budgeting, reporting, operations, and team support – perfect for someone who enjoys variety and autonomy in their work.

In this role, you will:

  • Take the lead on budgeting and reforecasting processes, working closely with Managers and executive stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Oversee the production of accurate and insightful monthly and year-end financial reports.
  • Support the audit process and liaise with Auditors as required.
  • Lead on the production of management accounts and provide business partnering support to key stakeholders on a monthly basis.
  • Manage and support the Finance Office, overseeing purchase and sales ledger duties and contributing to their development.
  • Ensure smooth operations across the organisation including procurement, health and safety audits, data protection, and IT reporting, as well as supporting with payroll and contract renewals.

Paying up to £40,000 FTE, this position is based in Coventry, operating on a hybrid working model. This role offers a competitive package including a great pension, generous annual leave allowance and the opportunity to join a purpose driven organisation.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be part-qualified or qualified by experience, with demonstrable expertise across both management and financial accounting.
  • Have strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, gift aid, and VAT.
  • Be confident in working with stakeholders at all levels, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Have experience using CRM and finance systems.
