Behaviour Mentor - SEN College - Coventry (CV4) - Full-Time - From 95 PAYE

We are seeking an Adaptable Behaviour Mentor to join our client, a specialist college supporting students aged 16-25 with complex difficulties and learning challenges, including Autism, physical disabilities, and multiple learning difficulties.

This role is crucial in fostering an inclusive environment, helping students to develop independence and thrive both academically and personally. If you're patient, proactive, and committed to empowering young people, we'd love to hear from you!



What You'll Be Doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support, helping students engage with their learning
  • Encouraging students to develop independent skills both in and out of the classroom
  • Assisting with differentiated learning activities, ensuring accessibility for all learners
  • Supporting student's social, emotional, and communication development
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver a holistic learning experience


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with SEN learners, particularly in a post-16 setting (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach to supporting students
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to promote independence and adapt support to individual needs
  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is beneficial but not essential - experience and the right attitude matter most!
