Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support and advocacy to women experiencing domestic violence.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety planning for service users.
- Assist with accessing emergency and temporary accommodation.
- Engage with service users in the community to promote their well being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using the Oasis system.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required.
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in working with vulnerable women, particularly in domestic violence settings.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in report writing and documentation.
- Computer literacy, with experience using the Oasis system or similar software.
- Understanding of BME cultures and the challenges faced by service users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- IDVA or IDSA qualification (desirable) - Increase in wage is available if qualified.
- Fluency in additional languages is an advantage.
