Multi Skilled Machine Tool Fitter | 30,000 - 35,000 | Coventry


Our client is a well-established manufacturer of high-precision machine tools, with a strong heritage in design and engineering, and is seeking talented professionals to join its team. The company is based in Coventry and has a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality, innovative machinery.

The Role:

  • Ability to interpret and work from detailed mechanical and engineering drawings, following set specifications

  • Assemble new machinery accurately using engineering and general assembly drawings.

  • Build and fit complex precision components, including the fitting of bearings, while working to close tolerances.

  • Skilled in hand scraping mating surfaces to achieve accurate fit and alignment.

  • Carry out drilling, tapping, and other sub-assembly tasks as required.



Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in building, fitting, and assembling machine tools or other types of complex machinery

  • A solid background in precision mechanical assembly

  • Have a broad understanding of machine tool construction, ensuring high-quality workmanship across all stages of the build process

  • This position requires some overseas travel.
