Shift Supervisor – Day Shift Hours 3 days on 3 days off – 6am to 6pmLocation  - CoventrySalary - £30,000Our client, a leading organisation within the logistics and supply chain sector, is currently seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee day-to-day site operations at their busy Coventry location. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations leader to step into a pivotal role within a fast-paced, process-driven environment.As Shift Supervisor, you will be fully responsible for managing all site activities during your shift, including vehicle servicing,  stock receipt and dispatch, and overall site performance. You'll lead a team of up to 20 operatives and take ownership of safety, quality, and performance KPIs while maintaining a positive, proactive working environment.Duties:
  • Sole responsibility for site operations during shift
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of operatives and agency staff
  • Conduct daily safety and quality audits and deliver shift briefings
  • Ensure compliance with HSE and company policies
  • Plan and allocate labour based on production needs
  • Complete accurate shift reports and update performance boards
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments
  • Manage stock control, counts, and reporting
  • Undertake HR-related duties including return to work meetings, holiday planning, and performance management
The Candidate
  • Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within logistics, production or distribution
  • Strong understanding of HSE policies and best practices
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • IT literate with experience in Excel, Word, Teams, and internal systems
  • Confident communicator able to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Flexible, adaptable, and solution-focused
Desirable (but not essential):
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification
  • HACCP awareness
  • Training or qualifications in Operations or Production Management
