Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong track record in delivering complex retail IT and infrastructure projects? This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of a high-profile RFID pilot project for a Tier 1 retail client.

From complete installation of all RFID units, cabling, surveys and sign off an final delivery, you will be working closely with stakeholders across internal teams, clients, and third-party suppliers, you'll ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT project management, ideally with retail hardware and infrastructure
  • Proven track record delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Strong understanding of retail systems, network infrastructure, and implementation delivery
  • Outstanding leadership, planning, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in project tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet)
  • Familiarity with governance frameworks and reporting requirements
  • Project qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM (desirable)

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Lead the delivery of a multi-site RFID implementation project, currently in a 3-month pilot phase
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, ensuring full alignment and buy-in across internal and external contacts
  • Set and manage clear acceptance and quality criteria for each phase of the project
  • Monitor project performance, addressing risks and issues with effective resolution or escalation
  • Deliver timely reporting to senior stakeholders and ensure alignment with company governance
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
  • Align with appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Assist with project budgeting, financial forecasting, and commercial delivery
  • Manage and motivate project team members, including contractors and junior project managers
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to less experienced team members

Hours and Salary:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Home based with travel for face to face meetings
  • Accommodation and travel costs covered
  • Site based presence will be required during the night at times
  • Pay upto £465 per day (via umbrella)
