Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the delivery of medical and scientific product development projects within an ISO 13485 framework.

Oversee technical, commercial, and project management activities — including budgeting, scheduling, and risk control.

Act as technical lead, guiding and reviewing the work of cross-functional teams across mechanical, electronics, software, and design disciplines.

Support business development through proposal writing, client presentations, and strategic partnerships.

Represent the organisation at industry conferences, trade shows, and seminars (including international events).

Contribute to marketing and thought leadership, producing presentations, articles, and case studies.

Drive a culture of innovation, quality, and engineering excellence across all project teams.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
-
Proven experience delivering medical product development projects under ISO 13485 or equivalent quality systems.

Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills, with experience planning and quoting complex projects.

Excellent communication and client relationship-building abilities.

A 1st or 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering from a leading university.

Hands-on experience with CAE tools, design validation, and a range of manufacturing processes — particularly high-volume methods such as injection moulding.

Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering results to time, cost, and quality targets.

Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to work on-site at the company’s development studio.
Desirable:

Experience in a consultancy or multi-client environment.

Track record of technical leadership in product innovation or R&D environments.
