The Successful Trainee Service Engineer / Graduate Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance on compressed air equipment including compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and associated compressed air products at customer sites across Midlands with occasional travel to Birmingham for training and parts collection.
The Trainee Service Engineer / Graduate Service Engineer / Junior Service Engineer will ideally have hands-on experience or knowledge in electrical and/or mechanical engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with familiarity in electrical fault finding and systems troubleshooting or a Mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, NVQ level 3, city & guilds, HNC, HND or similar. Full product training provided.

- To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
- The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, nitrogen generators, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air products.
- Installing compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
- Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
- Working at customer sites throughout Midlands with occasional travel to Birmingham for training and parts collection.
- Willingness to learn complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
- Experience as a Trainee Service Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, Apprentice Technician, Graduate Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Entry level Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer,Field Service Engineer or similar.
- Hands-on experience in electrical and/or mechanical domainswith a willingness to learn.
- Strong understanding of three-phase electrics and controls, with hands-on experience preferred.
- Mechanical or electrical qualification, apprentice trained, FGas, NVQ level 3, city & guilds, HNC, HND or similar would be a plus.
- Determination to learn the compressed air industry and related fields with enthusiasm for career progression opportunities.
- Flexibility to travel across Midlands with occasional travel to Birmingham for training and parts collection.
