A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Metrology Engineer to join a leading international engineering group!
With no two days ever the same, this role offers the chance to work on large-scale global projects, providing genuine long-term progression and career development within a highly respected organisation.
Role & Responsibilities:
Lead dimensional control and inspection on high-value machining projects.
Ensure work meets exacting standards and tolerances.
Use advanced metrology tools, including laser trackers, for precision measurement and inspection.
Provide technical reports and customer updates, including presentations.
Support toolmaking and on-site machining teams where required.
Expect significant overseas travel (assignments typically 2 days - 3 weeks; long hours may be required)
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Strong background in precision engineering, toolmaking or metrology.
CAD experience (particularly for jigs, fixtures, and reverse engineering).
Confidence in customer-facing situations, ideally with some sales or client liaison exposure.
Experience from aerospace, high-value manufacturing or precision machining industries is highly desirable.
Flexible, adaptable, and happy to travel extensively worldwide.
