A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Metrology Engineer to join a leading international engineering group!

With no two days ever the same, this role offers the chance to work on large-scale global projects, providing genuine long-term progression and career development within a highly respected organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead dimensional control and inspection on high-value machining projects.

  • Ensure work meets exacting standards and tolerances.

  • Use advanced metrology tools, including laser trackers, for precision measurement and inspection.

  • Provide technical reports and customer updates, including presentations.

  • Support toolmaking and on-site machining teams where required.

  • Expect significant overseas travel (assignments typically 2 days - 3 weeks; long hours may be required)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in precision engineering, toolmaking or metrology.
  • CAD experience (particularly for jigs, fixtures, and reverse engineering).

  • Confidence in customer-facing situations, ideally with some sales or client liaison exposure.

  • Experience from aerospace, high-value manufacturing or precision machining industries is highly desirable.

  • Flexible, adaptable, and happy to travel extensively worldwide.
