Metrology Engineer Coventry - £DOE

We are currently seeking an experienced Metrology Engineer to join our established and dynamic calibration team around Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role within a precision-focused environment, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and quality are consistently met.


Metrology Engineer's Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform precise calibration and certification of dimensional measuring equipment according to UKAS laboratory operating procedures.
  • Maintain meticulous administrative records and detailed reporting to uphold accreditation standards and ensure traceability.
  • Independently represent the company both internally and externally, providing calibration services on-site at our own facilities and directly at customer premises.
  • Provide expert advice and solutions to customers, translating technical metrology knowledge into clear, practical insights tailored to customer applications.
  • Ensure all calibrations and inspections are conducted efficiently, meeting the demands and expectations of diverse industries.


Skills & Experience Required as a Metrology Engineer:
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or significant experience following an engineering apprenticeship.
  • Demonstrable experience in a range of inspection techniques, enabling an understanding and responsiveness to customer-specific applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding and familiarity with dimensional metrology terminology and standards.
  • Excellent organisational skills, combined with the ability to effectively manage time and workload independently.
  • Proficient in relevant IT applications and software tools required for reporting and data management.
