Monday to Thursday 18:00 - 04:30 / £15.00
£15 basic + £5 nightshift premium. Total of £20
This only for the first 40 hours worked each week, after 40 hours, overtime rate of basic + 1/3 is payable up to 48 hours.
48 hours + is paid: basic + 1/2
Nightshift premium is not paid on holidays.
Our client a trusted name in high-precision machining and engineering services, is currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to work night shifts at our Coventry-based manufacturing facility. We provide complex components to critical industries including oil & gas, nuclear, defence, and aerospace, operating to the highest quality standards.
About the Role:
As a Night Shift Quality Inspector, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all components meet strict quality requirements before leaving the workshop. You’ll be working with a wide range of precision parts and using both traditional and digital measuring equipment to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections of CNC machined components.
Use a variety of measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Record and report inspection findings and ensure all relevant documentation is completed accurately.
Work closely with machinists and production staff to resolve quality issues.
Adhere to company and industry quality standards including ISO 9001.
Support continuous improvement initiatives on the night shift.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a quality inspection role within a precision engineering environment.
Ability to work independently on night shifts and take initiative in solving problems.
Strong knowledge of dimensional inspection techniques and tools.
Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings and tolerances.
Experience inspecting components made for oil & gas or aerospace sectors (desirable).
Familiarity with CMM machines or other advanced inspection equipment (beneficial).
