We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to work on major Data Centre projects across the Midlands and Home Counties. The Mechanical Supervisor will be site based and responsible for the day-to-day supervision of mechanical services on complex, high-value schemes.
This Mechanical Supervisor role is ideal for someone with a strong background working for a main contractor, particularly on projects where mechanical packages are self-delivered. The successful Mechanical Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring mechanical works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the Mechanical Supervisor for all mechanical installation works on site
Supervise mechanical subcontractors and direct labour as the lead Mechanical Supervisor
Ensure all mechanical works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme
Maintain and enforce high standards of health & safety, quality, and housekeeping
Coordinate daily activities with site management, M&E teams, and other trades
Monitor progress, productivity, and resources, reporting to the M&E Manager
Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover of mechanical systems
Identify and resolve site issues promptly as the responsible Mechanical Supervisor
Requirements
Proven experience working as a Mechanical Supervisor on large construction projects
Background in Data Centre or other mission-critical environments preferred
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services including HVAC, pipework, and plant
Experience supervising subcontractors and self-delivered mechanical works
SMSTS or SSSTS certification preferred
Strong communication and leadership skills essential for a Mechanical Supervisor
