We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organizedTechnical Coordinatorto join our Technical team in the food manufacturing industry. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of our products through the management of product specifications, support of HACCP systems, and alignment with BRC standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of food safety regulations, technical documentation, and customer requirements within the food sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specification Management:
  • Write, review, and maintain accurate product specifications for retail, food service, and manufacturing customers using internal systems and retailer portals.
  • Liaise with NPD, Production, and Procurement teams to ensure specifications reflect product composition and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure all specifications meet legal, customer, and company requirements.
  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points):
  • Support the development, review, and implementation of HACCP plans.
  • Participate in hazard analysis, risk assessments, and validation activities.
  • Ensure HACCP documentation is up-to-date and audit-ready.
  • BRC Compliance & Audit Support:
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with BRCGS (Global Standard for Food Safety) certification requirements.
  • Support internal audits, external audits, and customer visits.
  • Help implement corrective actions and monitor improvements.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
  • Maintain up-to-date records for raw materials, allergens, nutritional data, and supplier assurance documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and availability of technical documentation for all products.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and update procedures accordingly.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance, NPD, Production, and Commercial teams to ensure technical accuracy across departments.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers regarding product information and compliance queries.
