The Role:We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic English Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. In this permanent role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing progress, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and development

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support student success

  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Qualifications: A relevant degree in English or a related subject, along with UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Training: Solid understanding of the English national curriculum and assessment practices

  • Skills: Strong classroom management, excellent communication, and the ability to inspire students

  • Safeguarding: Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures

    • All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one that is registered to the update service. Desirable Criteria:To be considered for the higher end of the salary bracket, candidates should demonstrate:

  • A proven track record of excellent teaching outcomes at GCSE level
