Learning Support Assistant

£85-£90 Per Day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) 

Starting: June 2025  

ABC Teachers are seeking passionate individuals to support children and young adults with diverse learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), as a Learning Support Assistant in a specialist school. 

Your Role: 

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to create an inclusive learning environment. 

  • Provide personalized support to students, adapting lessons to meet their needs. 

  • Employ positive behaviour strategies to help students overcome challenges and thrive. 

  • Foster both academic progress and social development. 

 

The desired Lesson Support Assistant will have;  

  • A minimum of 1 years' experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting or equivalent personal experience supporting individuals with learning needs. 

  • A valid DBS on the update service, or a willingness to complete a DBS check. 

  • A commitment to supporting and caring for young people with physical and learning challenges. 

  • The ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a classroom environment. 

  • Be able to provide and secure a minimum of 2 professional references from previous employment or education.
