Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals experiencing domestic violence and abuse.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety planning with clients.
  • Assist clients in accessing appropriate services, including legal, housing, and health services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions on domestic violence and abuse to various groups.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • IDVA or IDSA qualification (desirable) - Increase in wage is available if qualified.
  • Experience working with vulnerable women, particularly in the context of domestic violence.
  • Strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact on women and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Empathy, resilience, and a non-judgemental attitude towards clients.
