Overview:

The role involves conducting audits, managing accounts, handling taxation, and performing various business-related tasks for clients. This role requires extensive interaction and communication with clients, colleagues, and official organisations. The successful candidate will have audit and accounts preparation experience, and will be AAT qualified, or working towards this qualification.

Duties and responsibilities:

Liaise with clients to fully understand their requirements and perform audit, accounts, taxation, and other business-related activities on their behalf, ensuring all work is accurate and professionally presented

Stay current with relevant legislation and take appropriate actions in managing client affairs. This includes informing clients about new laws, official dates and deadlines, and implementing new auditing ethics and standards within the practice

Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact, updating clients on job progress, resolving queries effectively, and escalating matters to the Partner responsible for the client when necessary

Oversee and delegate client tasks to ensure jobs are completed accurately, professionally, and within compliance deadlines and budgeted timescales

Utilise client information to proactively identify opportunities for business improvement and inform clients about additional products and services offered to support their business, aiming to secure additional business

Provide support and assistance to other team members, including mentoring junior staff, offering guidance, identifying training needs, and ensuring client tasks are distributed efficiently

Collaborate with Partners to plan client budget targets, ensuring tasks are completed within budgeted timescales and recoverability targets are achieved

Assist the Partner with posting and drafting invoices and preparing monthly billing targets

Accurately record activity codes on the timesheet daily to evaluate company and individual productivity targets

Undertake additional tasks as required by management to enhance client service or improve working practices

Experience Required:

AAT qualified or working towards qualification

Experience in a similar role

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Computer literate

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to think and react fast and accurately and be proactive

Team player

In return for your hard work, you will earn a starting salary of £40,000 - £45,000 plus excellent benefits.
