Coventry City Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Help and Protection South Team.
Your new role
The Help and Protection South Team plays a vital role in supporting children and families, focusing on Relationship-Based Practice and Signs of Safety to keep families together wherever possible.
You will be responsible for:
- Responding to new referrals from MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub)
- Managing a caseload of Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Public Law Outline (PLO) cases
- Working collaboratively with professionals across health, education, police, youth offending, and social care
- Delivering high-quality interventions that improve the lived experiences of children and young people
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (MA/BA/B.Sc. in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW)
- Social Work England registration
- Minimum 2 years post-qualifying experience in children and families social work
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
