CNC Offline Programmer
Location: Coventry
Salary: 41,500 for a 4-day week (Monday to Thursday, 37 hours). Three-day weekend every week or option to work guaranteed overtime at enhanced rates.
Shift: Monday to Thursday, 37 hours minimum. Guaranteed overtime available Friday, Saturday and Sunday at time and a half, and double time on Sunday.

The CNC Offline Programmer Role
CNC Offline Programmer responsible for creating and optimising programmes using CAM software prior to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise CNC programmes offline using CAM software to support complex aerospace components
  • Interpret engineering drawings, models and specifications to ensure accurate machining strategies
  • Select appropriate tooling, cutting data and work-holding methods to meet tight aerospace tolerances
  • Simulate and validate programmes to identify errors and eliminate potential machining risks before release
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve process efficiency
  • Continuously refine programmes and processes to enhance cycle times, tooling life and overall production reliability

Previous Experience

  • Apprentice trained or proven experience as a CNC Offline Programmer
  • Experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment, preferably from an aerospace background
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software
