We are excited to partner with a well-respected mainstream school in Coventry who are looking for an experienced and passionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a child in their learning journey and help them succeed both academically and socially.

The Role:

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil who requires additional support due to specific learning or behavioural needs. You will assist in delivering a personalised learning programme, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO, and help foster an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN.
Assist in implementing EHCP targets and differentiated learning plans.
Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and progress.
Work collaboratively with the teaching team and outside professionals.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Support with personal care or mobility needs where applicable.

Requirements:

Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language needs).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A calm, nurturing and adaptable approach.
Ability to follow direction while using initiative.
DBS on the update service
Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate are advantageous but not essential.
