Job Title: School Admin/Finance Support

Salary: £14 – 17 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Temporary to Permanent

About the Role:
GSL Education is currently seeking a skilled and motivated School Admin/Finance Support Officer to work within a reputable faith school in Coventry. This role is ideal for a candidate with previous experience in education administration or finance who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver efficient administrative support across the school office.
- Assist with financial processes, including invoicing, petty cash, and managing school finance systems (e.g. FMS/SIMS/Arbor).
- Manage data entry and maintain accurate records in compliance with GDPR.
- Serve as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies.
- Support with scheduling, school communications, and general office duties.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- processing invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
- Managing petty cash and school credit card transactions.
- Liaising with payroll providers to ensure accurate salary processing.
- Sourcing quotes, placing orders for supplies, and managing supplier relationships.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in school administration and/or finance preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using school data systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid, enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education).
