OA are currently recruiting experienced HGV Workshop Technicians to join our Coventry-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, both within our well-equipped workshop and on the road using our mobile service vans.

As a Workshop Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties including maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on HGVs. You'll be part of a proactive team ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance in line with DVSA guidelines.
  • Complete engine and vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, and mechanical repairs.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults using advanced diagnostic tools and systems.
  • Accurately complete job cards and service documentation using R2C.
  • Attend roadside and field breakdowns as needed, including occasional out-of-hours support.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with HGVs in a maintenance and repair capacity.
  • Solid understanding of DVSA standards for roadworthiness.
  • NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent) or time-served experience.
  • Skilled in fault diagnosis, mechanical repairs, and MOT preparation.

Desirable (Training Provided if Needed):

  • IRTEC accreditation
  • HGV Class C+E Licence
  • Experience with car transporters
  • Familiarity with LOLER testing
  • Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical lifting systems
  • Experience using R2C workshop systems
