Job overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Coventry. The successful candidate will work with jigs and fixtures to produce high-quality chassis parts for the Land Rover aftermarket.

Key responsibilities
- Weld production: Execute high-standard MIG welding on chassis parts and assemblies using jigs and fixtures.
- Technical interpretation: Work from technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure products meet precise specifications.
- Quality control: Carry out pre- and post-weld inspections to ensure structural integrity and a high-quality finish.
- Production targets: Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Safety and maintenance: Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and perform basic maintenance on welding equipment.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with the wider production team to ensure a smooth and efficient manufacturing process.
Skills and qualifications
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder, ideally within an automotive or production environment.
- Proficient in using jigs and fixtures for repeatable and accurate welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical or engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- A reliable and punctual team player with good communication skills.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing setting.
Working hours and pay
- Hourly rate: 14.00 per hour.
- Weekly hours: 38 hours per week.
- Shift pattern:
- Monday-Thursday: 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
- Friday: 7:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (early finish)
- Pay cycle: Weekly, paid every Thursday, one week in arrears.
