About the Role:

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Trainee Welder/Fabricator to join our clients growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in welding and fabrication, with full training provided and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive working environment.

You will work alongside experienced fabricators and welders to learn a range of skills including MIG/TIG welding, cutting, drilling, tapping, bending, forming, grinding, assembly, and reading technical drawings. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, has a keen eye for detail, and is eager to develop a long-term career in the engineering or manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the fabrication and welding of metal components and assemblies
  • Learn to interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Operate hand tools, grinders, saws, and welding equipment under supervision
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
  • Support the production team with general workshop duties
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company policies
  • Undertake any training as required for the role


Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in welding and fabrication
  • Willingness to learn and take instruction
  • Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Punctual, reliable, and physically fit
  • Some prior experience or qualification (e.g. in Engineering or Metalwork) is desirable but not essential
