As a Welder Fitter, you will design, modify and maintain mechanical equipment on site. Your work will focus on delivering safe, hygienic and reliable engineering solutions that keep production running smoothly.

Welder Fitter Responsibilities:

  • Carry out mechanical repairs, fabrication and welding to minimise breakdowns
  • Support rapid response to engineering faults across production lines
  • Create and maintain CAD drawings for reference and future projects
  • Machine parts for stock to reduce dependence on external suppliers
  • Complete preventative maintenance and quality assurance checks
  • Inspect equipment and diagnose potential issues before failure
  • Prioritise and complete work assignments quickly and efficiently
  • Work closely with manufacturing, production and quality teams
  • Follow all health & safety and food safety procedures
  • Provide clear reporting on completed work and outstanding tasks

Welder Fitter Experience:

  • Time-served mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
  • Strong experience in an automated production environment
  • Skilled welder (TIG, MIG, ARC) and trained fabricator
  • Machining skills (lathe and milling)
  • Good CAD knowledge
