Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking an experienced Digital Hardware Engineering Lead to join their Maritime Services unit on a contract basis. The role is based in Cowes with hybrid working arrangements of four days per week on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the digital hardware engineering team to develop hardware solutions for Maritime Services
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with technical and strategic goals
- Oversee the design, development, and testing of digital hardware components and systems
- Provide technical expertise and leadership in resolving complex engineering challenges
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure adherence to engineering best practices and quality standards
- Liaise with stakeholders to deliver project updates and ensure project milestones are met
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in digital hardware engineering within the Defence and Security sector
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency with relevant toolsets and software languages for hardware development
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work on-site in Cowes for four days per week
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
