I'm looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join BAE Systems in Cowes, Isle of Wight.

What you'll be doing:

Apply a broad range of knowledge, skills, and experience in Systems Engineering principles and techniques to develop innovative technical solutions and resolve complex engineering challenges.
Analyse and decompose high-level requirements into system and sub-system specifications, managing them effectively using approved toolsets such as IBM DOORS Next.
Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary engineering team including electronics, electrical, mechanical and software engineers to deliver cohesive and robust system-level design solutions.
Support the definition and communication of engineering outcomes, underpinned by the generation of robust customer acceptance evidence.
Through these activities, you will enhance your professional visibility with senior stakeholders and expand your expertise across the diverse field of radar engineering.

Your skills and experience:

A solid understanding of at least one of the following areas: signal processing, target track extraction, object classification algorithms, or system and sensor resource optimisation.
An appreciation of real-world factors that influence the performance of sensing systems, including their impact on measurement accuracy and timeliness in meeting demanding design objectives and requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in Systems Engineering, including familiarity with relevant standards such as ISO 15288.
A higher education qualification (or equivalent practical experience) in a relevant STEM discipline.

The Radar Systems Engineering team:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will join our close-knit multi-function radar team; an interdisciplinary group of specialists working to evolve and expand our radar portfolio. This includes enhancing existing systems and developing next-generation radar technologies to address emerging and future threats within the domain of Future Air Dominance.

With proven experience in modern Systems Engineering practices, you will play a key role in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions while contributing to the development and mentoring of our junior engineers.
