MIG Welder

We arecurrently hiring Weldersfor anindustry leader in UK’s Building Services sector, specialising in the manufacture ofoffsite-prefabricated building service solutions for projects throughout the UK & Europe.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-17:00 Friday 07:00-16:00(44 hours)

Rate/Salary: Competitive rates DOE

Location: Craigavon 

Job Summary:

To weld a range of pipe configurations that will support ateam of skilled Fabricators and Assembly teams. The Welding activities within the arrangements utilise various methods of welding. This opportunity has the potential for successful candidates to develop and retain further skills within numerous welding, fabrication, and preparation disciplines, working from in-house welding and inspection procedures for fabrication and welding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To operate MIG welding equipment
  • To read/interpret drawings.
  • Use precision measurement instruments
  • Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment
  • Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling
  • Clean tools, equipment, and work areas
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • To undertake training in line with company standards
  • Always maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, whilst maintaining a high level of productivity
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by Management.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in Fabrication and welding with general and pipe welding
  • Previous experience in welding preparation and fit up
  • Previous experience in MIG welding processes to high standards
  • Experience in reading, interpreting, and working to Welding procedures
  • Competent using measurement instruments, Fillet gauges etc
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to manage workload andmeet project deadlines.
  • The ability to use your own initiative on projects with minimal supervision.

Desirable:

  • Heavy or structural Fabrication experience
  • Welding qualifications in MMA, MAG or TIG
  • Abrasive wheel training
