Are you ready to make a difference in the life sciences industry? Our client is dedicated to enabling healthier, cleaner, and safer environments for their customers. They are currently seeking a motivated Waste Operative to join their team in Cramlington on a temporary basis.

Position Details:

  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Hourly Rate: 15.18
  • Working Pattern: Full Time working on a Continental shift pattern of 4 days on 4 days off 6am - 6pm.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Waste Operative, you will:

  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and tidy environment, including:
    • - Picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
      - Cleaning and stocking bathrooms and windows.
      - Ensuring cleanliness within clean room spaces.
  • Manage consumables by ordering and replenishing supplies, maintaining detailed logs, and ensuring effective stock rotation.
  • Oversee waste management, including the segregation and disposal of waste in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, waste disposal, and recycling initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime during cleaning operations.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role is essential.
  • Familiarity with cleaning practises, materials, and equipment, including microfibre mopping systems and chemical handling.
  • FLT Experience is preferred but not essential as can be trained in house.
  • Strong ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Excellent time-management and communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Flexibility is key, as working outside regular business hours may be necessary.
