CK Group are recruiting for a Development Technician, on behalf of a leading multinational producer of household plastic products, on a fixed term contract basis of 3 months.

This is a full time position, 35.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday: 9am - 5pm, Friday: 9am - 3pm, based at their site in Cramlington.


Salary:

Approximately 28,000 per annum (pro-rata for a 3 month contract).


Your main duties will be:
  • Responsible for managing the Accelerated Weathering Programme.
  • Ensuring all weathering machines are maintained in good working order.
  • Developing and promoting ideas to improve the Programme and Equipment setup.
  • Interpreting test results for product construction and modification.
  • Completing and reporting Laboratory work and running plant trials.

Candidate requirements - skills and experience:
  • Degree/diploma in Chemistry, Materials Science or a related field.
  • At least 2 years' experience of working in a polymer laboratory.
  • Must have a full UK Driving Licence, be able to drive and have access to a car.
