About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs.
  • Assist students in managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies and de-escalation techniques.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to implement tailored learning plans.
  • Support students in building confidence, independence, and social skills.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive when faced with challenging behaviour.
