Hgv Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Crawley area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.
 

Shift:

• Class 1 and Class 2 available.
• Nights-Shifts between Sunday to Friday 1am starts.
• Afters - Shifts across Sunday to Saturday - 14:00pm - 16:00pm.

Pay Rate:

Class 2:

• Nights - £16.67 rising to £17.42 per hour PAYE.
• Afters - £14.81 rising to £15.56 per hour PAYE.

Class 1:

• Nights - £17.17 rising to £17.92 per hour PAYE.
• Afters - £15.80 rising to £16.50 per hour PAYE.

Location: Crawley RH10
 

Job Type: Ongoing with the opportunity for a permanent/permanent role from day one, available for nights.
 

The role:

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• Handling runs with 1-2 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Drivers may be required to assist with the loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and a pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

• Experience would be preferred but new passes will be considered.
• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 / Class 1 entitlement
• Valid and in date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on a licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
