At Khuda Technology, were proud to be working alongside a leading global organisation in the search for a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer Wintel & Virtualisation SME. This is an exceptional opportunity for a technical specialist to join a dynamic and collaborative IT team within a large-scale, fast-paced enterprise environment.
In this role, you'll serve as the subject matter expert across Windows infrastructure and virtualisation platforms, taking ownership of the end-to-end delivery, optimisation, and support of business-critical systems. Responsibilities:
Act as the SME for Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, and related Wintel technologies.
Design, deploy, and maintain virtualisation solutions, including VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and Hyper-V.
Lead on incident resolution, capacity management, and performance tuning of core infrastructure.
Deliver third-line support, managing escalations and resolving complex infrastructure issues.
Collaborate with security, architecture, and cloud teams to align Wintel infrastructure with organisational goals.
Champion automation initiatives using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
Maintain compliance with patching, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
Create and manage technical documentation, SOPs, and operational guides.
Skills:
Proven background in a similar Infrastructure Engineer or Wintel SME role.
Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and core Microsoft technologies.
Hands-on experience with virtualisation tools and platforms ideally VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V.
Deep understanding of system hardening, compliance, and infrastructure security.
Comfortable supporting enterprise-scale virtual infrastructure environments with high uptime expectations.
Strong scripting skills using PowerShell to support automation and diagnostics.
Sound knowledge of ITIL methodologies, particularly incident and change management.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills both written and verbal.
