Teaching Assistant - Crawley, West Sussex

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Crawley. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them thrive both academically and personally in an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support to students, including those with SEND needs such as ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties, under the direction of teaching staff.

  • Support individual students or small groups to enhance learning, engagement, and progress across a range of subjects.

  • Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials to meet diverse student needs.

  • Work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and the wider pastoral team to help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in students through consistent support and encouragement.

  • Help create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and emotional wellbeing.
