Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Do you have experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial environment?



Have you completed a mechanical apprenticeship or hold a relevant qualification such as an HNC?



Are you confident inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations?

What You Need Before Applying

  • A recognised mechanical apprenticeship or a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in a relevant discipline.

  • Experience in mechanical and/or maintenance roles, ideally within a plant or industrial setting.

  • A strong safety focus, with working knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and decisive under pressure.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work positively with colleagues across departments.

  • Experience with plant maintenance or cylinder filing operations would be an advantage.

About the Role

As Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you'll take the lead in managing and optimising mechanical operations on site. You'll ensure equipment performs safely and reliably, take ownership of routine maintenance, and play a key role in identifying improvements. This role involves both civil and mechanical elements, giving you exposure to hands-on technical work and smaller project ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.

  • Perform routine maintenance and testing to maintain equipment performance within optimal parameters.

  • Lead on small projects and the installation of new equipment, bringing innovation and practical improvements.

  • Maintain clear and accurate records and documentation for all mechanical equipment and procedures.
