Electrical Technician

Salary: £45k+

Location:Crawley, Surrey

Hours: Days Mon to Fri 42 hours

World- leading industrial gases and engineering companyurgently require an Electrical Technician

My client is the largest provider of industrial, medical and special gases in the UK.

The Role

The successful candidate will ensure all electrical equipment is working as it should do, as you will inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair the equipment to keep everything running safely and efficiently. This is a fantastic chance to become the expert and take a central role in maintaining and enhancing equipment that powers operations, contributing to the safety, efficiency, and reliability of their Crawley site

Duties

• Get hands onas you conduct regular maintenance and testing of instruments keeping them in the best condition possible
• Make a differenceas you take the lead on installing and setting up new equipment, from wiring and mounting to programming and testing - your efforts will enhance operational excellence!
• Keep everything up to dateas you will maintain detailed records and documentation about repairs, installations, maintenance, and safety inspections

Requirements

• You will have completed anapprenticeship or equivalent qualification(City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, ONC) in electrical or instrumentation fields
• 17th edition BS7671
• Qualified inHazardous Area Installations(COMPEX) an advantage
• Have aroundtwo years maintenance experience
• You are aproblem solver, who is proactive and skilled at making thoughtful decisions under pressure, always prioritising safety alongside business needs
• Furthermore, you are highlysafety consciouswith an awareness of Health and Safety practices and control of major accident hazards (but dont worrywell provide ongoing training to keep you up to date)
• Ateam playerwho thrives on collaboration works effectively with others
