As an Energy Engineer your role is to help enable commercial benefits relating to energy, by being the main point of technical energy expertise within the Commercial Energy team.  This includes leading a small team of energy engineers supporting the installation of electricity meters and submeters and their compliance.  You will lead the team in supporting Energy Efficiency exception reporting by the development of a baseline level of energy consumption at an asset level to ensure energy efficiency on assets and new capital spend is optimised. Supporting on business case development and innovation projects to ensure that technical feasibility and energy efficiency is fully understood.

Your role will include driving energy efficiency and revenue growth benefits for the business by providing technical expertise to the Commercial Energy team.  This includes support on Energy efficiency to support data cleansing issues and identify exceptions that are worth investigating. This will also include ensuring that generation from our renewable assets is optimised and any revenue opportunity explored and implemented.

About You

You will have the ability to influence and challenge others to ensure best solution for project issues and be able to work with data analysts to help inform decision making. You will be a self-starter with a commercial mindset and can challenge using facts and data.

Knowledge/experience: 
•  Professionally Qualified (IMechE, MIET, EI, etc.)
•  Knowledge of industry and associated energy consumption would be advantageous, and an ability to learn quickly.
•  Technical knowledge of CHP and Solar
•   Asset energy efficiency performance monitoring and evaluation
•   Experience influencing key stakeholders’ decision making.                                                                                      
•   ESOS lead assessor would be an advantage
