Academics is currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a well-established SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Crawley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in supporting young people with additional needs and looking to step into a more senior support role.
Main Duties:
Deliver small group sessions and targeted interventions
Support teaching staff with planning and classroom delivery
Work with pupils to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Assist in developing a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Collaborate with staff and external professionals to meet student needs
Candidate Requirements:
HLTA status or relevant experience in a similar role
Background working with children or young people with SEMH or SEN
Confident supporting both learning and behaviour needs
Calm, resilient, and approachable with strong interpersonal skills
Full UK driving licence
Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
