Tony Alan Recruitment currently has a new and exciting job opportunity for a Senior Payroll Manager to join a large and successful international business in the Crawley area on a permanent contract.

Your duties will include:

  • Managing four payrolls encompassing circa 5,000 employees, with technical details of payroll processing including but not limited to: RTI, Maternity/paternity legislation/SMP/SPP, Absenteeism/SSP, Leavers/redundancies/compromise settlements, Court orders, P11Ds/P60s/P45s, Salary sacrifices etc.
  • Drive payroll projects whilst also leading the accurate and timely completion of monthly and annual payroll operations in accordance with the tax and regulatory frameworks
  • Build strong and enduring relationships with stakeholders
  • Managing the team to ensure that they complete the monthly payrolls, internal financial reporting, system developments, relationships with other teams and employee development
  • Providing client centric care, delivering a premium service and cascading this to the wider team
  • Reviewing team performance and setting clear objectives, which are to be monitored on a regular basis
  • Sharing your knowledge within the team and manage/motivate the team to deliver high quality work, on time, to budget and to the firm’s compliance requirements

Key requirements:

  • 3 years+ experience managing a payroll team
  • Extensive working knowledge of Workday payroll software highly advantageous
  • Professional payroll qualifications desirable, CIPP etc.
  • Detailed practical knowledge of statutory & legislative regulations, including workplace pensions
