Independent Planning Consultancy - West Sussex
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Carrington West is working with a well-regarded independent planning consultancy in West Sussex to appoint a Planner - Associate Planner as part of their continued growth.
The Opportunity
Our client provides clear, commercially focused planning advice to a diverse client base and has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality outcomes across a wide range of developments. Their team draws on extensive experience across both the public and private sectors, enabling them to guide projects smoothly through the planning system from early feasibility through to determination.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of small, medium and high-profile schemes, providing excellent exposure and long-term career progression within a supportive consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
路Lead small to medium projects from inception to completion
路Support senior members of the team on large, complex projects
路Manage planning applications from inception through to decision
路Prepare planning statements, appeals and supporting documentation
路Provide strategic and day-to-day planning advice to clients
路Undertake site appraisals and development assessments
路Attend client meetings and liaise with external consultants and multi-disciplinary project teams
路Support junior team members (Associate level)
路Monitor and interpret planning policy and legislation
Candidate Requirements
路Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
路MRTPI chartered or working towards accreditation
路Experience within a consultancy or local authority planning role
