Reed is advertising this position on behalf of our client. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Logistics, Warehouse & Operations Manager to join a rapidly expanding company. This role involves maximizing service offerings and driving efficiencies across all aspects of the warehouse and logistics department. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will optimize operations, ensure seamless processes, and deliver exceptional service to a growing client base.
Day-to-day of the role:- Team Management & Task Allocation: Manage and assign tasks to warehouse and logistics staff to ensure optimal productivity.
- Warehouse Organization & Efficiency: Organize warehouse racking and pick faces to maximize space utilization and streamline order fulfilment.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) Expertise: Utilize and optimize the WMS to organize warehouse structures and staff allocation for efficient service delivery.
- Customer Liaison: Communicate with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and build strong relationships.
- Health and Safety: Ensure the warehouse adheres to all relevant Health and Safety Standards.
- Efficiency & Cost Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to drive efficiencies and reduce operational costs.
- Budget Planning Support: Assist in the management of departmental budgets.
- Process Implementation & Improvement: Develop and monitor efficient warehouse and logistics processes.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs to monitor logistics and warehouse operations and identify improvement areas.
- Staff and Shift Management: Effectively use staff and manage shifts to ensure smooth operations without backlog or delays.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, or Operations Manager within a similar industry.
- Strong understanding and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience in organizing warehouse racking and pick faces for efficient order fulfilment.
- Ability to negotiate and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in contributing to pricing models and understanding cost implications.
- Strong drive for efficiency and a proven track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Experience in budget planning and management.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
