Logistics Coordinator 

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team based in East Grinstead. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the coordination of dispatch and receipt of finished goods, spare parts, and purchased components at their UK facility. The successful candidate will ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of customer orders across designated territories.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch & Receiving

  • Coordinate daily customer deliveries using the most cost-effective freight solutions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of customer orders to the correct destinations.
  • Process orders using M3 ERP and Pro Doc systems.

Logistics Administration

  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email.
  • Provide tracking information and maintain proactive communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders.

Freight & Documentation

  • Review freight contracts and performance to ensure cost-efficiency and service quality.
  • Prepare and manage shipping documentation including Commercial Invoices and Certificates of Origin in compliance with customs regulations.

Warehouse Support

  • Assist with picking, packing, and booking in stock.
  • Ensure accurate stock handling and storage in line with documentation.
  • Forklift training provided if required.

Customs & Duty Management

  • Regularly audit VAT and Duty invoices to ensure correct application of rates.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for reclaiming duties on exports outside the EU, including retrospective claims.
Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience in logistics coordination, ideally within a similar sector.
  • Strong knowledge of freight and warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably M3) and logistics documentation tools (e.g., Pro Doc).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
