  • Ensure the premises are clean, safe and secure.
  • Deliver and uphold a customer-focused service.
  • Perform caretaking tasks, including maintenance, cleaning, and portage.
  • Oversee external contractors required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee the care, upkeep, and servicing of the school's building and grounds.
  • Arrange and set up furniture and equipment for routine and special events (e.g., assemblies, plays, open days).
  • Inspect and ensure compliance with cleaning standards, monitor contractors' performance, remove refuse, and carry out emergency cleaning when needed.
  • Implement security procedures to safeguard the premises, ensuring alarms, lighting, and CCTV systems are operational as required.
  • Handle routine and emergency opening/closing of premises, attend out-of-hours emergencies, and provide cover for external lettings.
  • Report emergencies (e.g., fire, flood, accidents) to the Premises or Facilities Manager.
