Position: Mechanical Supervisor
Location: East Grinstead
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

Mechanical Supervisor Role:
Lead and manage the South East Depot Engineering department (PDI Engineers, Electrical PDI Engineers, Workshop Engineers, Labourers). Ensure operational efficiency, health & safety compliance, and high-quality standards for all equipment prepared and delivered to customers.
Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Enforce compliance with H&S standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead, support, and develop the depot’s engineering team, driving performance, training, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee daily engineering operations, including generator PDI processes, stock, logistics, site surveys, installations, and breakdown support.
- Provide out-of-hours call-out support (rota-based).
- Ensure equipment is maintained, serviced, and repaired to manufacturer/company standards.
- Manage inventory, stock replenishment, and InspHire records to ensure operational readiness.
Mechanical Supervisory Experience:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within equipment hire or power generation.
- Engineering background in plant/diesel engine maintenance (generator knowledge preferred).
- Strong compliance and safety understanding within engineering environments.
- Team leadership and organisational skills.
