Our client is looking to recruit an experienced chef to take to leading position as Head Chef in a small team of chefs. As Head Chef you will be responsible for menu design in keeping with traditional pub restaurant style dishes with the ability to create a range of changing specials. Making the most of the best local farm produce you will purchase excellent ingredients from local suppliers to showcase your knowledge of home cooked dishes with a traditional and modern innovative approach. Our client has great function room facilities for private dining and small functions, featuring a popular Sunday carvery they can cater for 100+ covers during busy times.

Responsibilities
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Train new kitchen staff in food production techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative techniques into the menu.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in both food presentation and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and front-of-house staff.
