Remuneration:

  • Salary 40-60K DOE

Purpose of the Role

Accountable for site performance. To oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and compliance high-quality vehicle repairs, efficient workflow, and compliance with health and safety standards. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management
    • Plan and organise daily workshop activities to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
    • Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill and workload.
    • Monitor repair progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations.
    • Conduct final inspections before vehicles are released.
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage, motivate, and develop workshop staff.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training where needed.
  • Customer Service
    • Liaise with customers and insurance companies regarding repair status and queries.
    • Resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Maintain a safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
    • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Financial & Administrative Duties
    • Monitor workshop costs and control budgets.
    • Maintain accurate records of jobs, parts, and labour.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bodyshop or automotive workshop management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle body repair processes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and meet KPIs.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
