We are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a leading UK house builder, recognised for delivering high-quality residential developments across the country. This particular project is a large-scale new build housing development, and the role offers the opportunity to work with one of the most reputable names in the industry.

The Role

As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in ensuring the project runs smoothly, safely, and to programme. A strong technical background in new build housing is essential, as well as a keen eye for detail and the ability to use snagging and digital management tools effectively.

You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, health and safety compliance, and day-to-day coordination of trades and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Manager with daily site operations and progress monitoring.

  • Carry out quality inspections and snagging using digital software and reporting tools.

  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained across site activities.

  • Coordinate trades, deliveries, and on-site logistics.

  • Maintain accurate site documentation and assist with client handovers.

  • Promote company standards and ensure homes are delivered to the highest specification.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working for a national or large regional house builder.

  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with snagging and reporting software.

  • A strong understanding of NHBC standards and traditional build methods.

  • Great communication and leadership skills.

  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
